Description: From I-25 Exit 140 follow Yellowstone Hwy east 1.1 miles to Grant St and turn left. RVer reports that the city park has free dry camping. Approximately 20 sites, at least some are pull-thrus. Dump station, drinking water, grills, pay phones, picnic area, restrooms, showers. Park may be full around time of state fair in August, as fairgrounds are across the street. One RVer notes that sprinklers may come on in middle of night. Maximum stay: 3 nights. Free.

This city park has about 10 sites, 30-amp electric hookups, dump station, restrooms, and drinking water. From I-25 Exit 78 go E one block, S one block on 16th St, E .5 mile on Cole (watch for a bad dip in the road along Cole), N on 8th St to park.

Seminoe to Alcova Back Country Byway
Submitted by Administrator on Wed, 07/23/2008 - 11:56pmSeminoe to Alcova Back Country Byway is located in south-central Wyoming about 32 miles southwest of Casper. The 64-mile route follows county roads across a mostly desert landscape between the small towns of Sinclair and Alcova. Features of the byway include Pathfinder Reservoir, Seminoe Reservoir, and the North Platte River.
Much of the land surrounding the byway is managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Several public campgrounds are along or near the byway. Dugway and Prior Flat campgrounds are managed by the BLM. Dugway has five sites (no charge) and Prior Flat has 15 sites for $7 per night. Alcova Lake Campground near the northern end of the byway has 200 sites, some with hookups. Camping is also available at Seminoe State Park for about $10 per night.

Boysen State Park

The park has eleven campgrounds and more than 200 sites; most sites are pull-thru and can accommodate large RVs. The camping fee is about $12 per night.

Description: City park campground in southeast Wyoming near Guernsey State Park. In Guernsey, turn south at the bank's time and temperature sign. Go about a mile and turn in at the golf course.
Campground: The park has a total of 16 sites, some sites with electric hookups (30-amp), $8 to $13 per night, drinking water, restrooms with flush toilets, showers, picnic tables, fire pits/grills.
