Description: County park nestled in the Boone River valley. Offers fishing, 2 shelters, 44 electrical hook-ups, tent camping, playground and log cabin. Located six miles north and east of Stratford at 3100 Bells Mill Rd.

Campground: Open seasonally, 44 sites with electric hookups, $12 to $15 per night, drinking water, restrooms, showers, dump station, picnic tables, playground.

Comments: There are no actual marked camping pads. Campers are free to set up their camping units or tents on the grass areas.

Description: 590-acre county park northwest of Elgin. From Interstate 90 (Northwest Tollway) Exit 26, south on N Randall Rd to Big Timber Rd; turn right (west). Travel about 1.5 miles west to Forest Preserve entrance. The campground has 48 sites with water and electric (50-amp) hookups, 18 tent-only sites, dump station, playground, and stocked fishing ponds. Reservations are not accepted. Open May through October.

Over 20 miles of trails. Two miles west of Interstate 39 Exit 8. Eight miles north of Bloomington/Normal, IL and Interstates 55 & 74. Reservations generally required for weekend stays during the summer season.
